Accreditation

Westwood College is currently nationally accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT) or the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS). Westwood received Higher Learning Commission (HLC) candidacy status in October 2007 (see news release). HLC is part of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools that accredits colleges and universities. Westwood’s candidacy was granted after a comprehensive review of Westwood’s operations to ensure academic and institutional excellence.

Westwood College Online is offered through Westwood College - Denver North Campus (Denver, Colo.). Westwood College - Denver North is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT).

ACCSCT is a private, nonprofit, independent accrediting agency whose goal is maintaining educational quality in the career schools and colleges it accredits by striving to assure academic excellence and ethical practices. ACCSCT is dedicated to the more than 360,000 students who annually pursue career education at its accredited institutions.
