Westwood College Wins Six OC ADDY Awards

April 4, 2007 (Los Angeles, California) - Westwood College took home six awards at the Orange County Advertising Club's 2007 ADDY Awards competition on Saturday, March 31, 2007.

At one of the most attended OC ADDY Awards, five students from Westwood College Anaheim received awards for the college chapter, OC AD Club. The students of Westwood College walked away with one Gold Award won by Albert Blanchet, two Silver Awards won by Liz Garcia and Henry Lopez, and three Merit Awards won by Albert Blanchet, Michael Cozzaglio and Adam Petrasek. Westwood College won various categories in advertising, including Non-Traditional Advertising, Collateral Materials/Poster, and Editorial Design/Editorial Spread. The students will advance to compete at the regional ADDY Awards.

"Every year Westwood College students continue to win top honors at the OC ADDY Awards competition. We couldn't be more proud of our students and are thrilled to be one of the top schools of the night," says Tina Miller, Director of Career Development Services for Westwood College in Anaheim.

Westwood College Anaheim won the most awards in comparison to their rivals, Cal State Fullerton, Chapman University and the Art Institute. They beat their own record from 2006, as they won three awards, one Gold, one Silver, and one Merit.

In addition to being recognized at the OC ADDY Awards, students of Westwood College Anaheim are preparing for another big competition at the National Student Advertising Campaign in May. Ad Club and business students are working together to prepare an integrated marketing campaign pitch for Coca-Cola Classic, one of the world's most recognizable and biggest selling brand.
