Westwood College Students Selected As Finalists for the Face of Chicago at the Latino Film Festival

Chicago, IL (May, 2007) - Four Westwood Chicago Loop Students were selected as finalists for becoming the Face of the 23rd Annual Chicago Latino Film Festival.

Each year hundreds of local, national and international artists submit original artwork in the hopes of being chosen as the "Face" of the Chicago Latino Film Festival. The winner's artwork is printed on over one million newsprint schedules, t-shirts, buses, billboards and advertising pieces used to promote the internationally recognized film festival worldwide.

This year marks the 23rd anniversary of the event and artists were asked to submit photographs, computer illustrations and hand-drawn images that depict the festival's mission of promoting Latino culture through film and video.

This year Westwood College Chicago Loop is proud to announce that four of its visual communications students were selected as finalists for the competition. The Westwood College Chicago Loop finalists include: Jonathan Cosby, Brian Floyd, Charles Hale and Troy Millhoupt.

Submissions are judged by a panel of experts from the fields of marketing, film, art and media and the winning design will be unveiled at a ceremony on January, 25 2008. In addition to prominent print exposure the winning artist also receives a cash prize of $500.
