Industry Experience
Scott Dahl has almost twenty years of experience as a senior designer, artistic director and project manager and six years of teaching at the University level. He has designed and developed commercial, retail and casino interiors, residential and light-industrial buildings, theme park attractions, and theatrical settings as well as interactive exhibits and corporate event environments. Mr. Dahl is a multi-disciplinary designer.
Some of Scott's projects include designing and developing interactive play areas for the Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs of the NBA; interiors for Treasure Island Casino (Red Wing, MN), Morgan's Family Entertainment Center (Destin, FL), Matsuyo Ladies Department Store (Fukuoka, Japan); theme park attractions including the Batman, Police School, and Lethal Weapons stunt show attractions (Six Flags, Nationwide); theatrical settings for the national tours of Dragon Tales Live 1 and II (Children's Television Network and VEE Corporation) and Corporate event environments' for AT&T, Westinghouse and General Electric. He has also designed, drafted and illustrated dozens of custom homes and light-industrial buildings in upstate New York's Capital District, Warren and Saratoga Counties including the Glen Falls MRI Center (Glens Falls, NY) and the Clark Industrial Park (Albany, NY).
Teaching Philosophy
Scott has sincere interest to better the world around us through the expression of interior and architectural design. He believes the only way to achieve these results in through understanding and respecting the artistic and technological aspects of the design process. We work in an expanding industry where once clear boundaries of commerce, entertainment and education are now blurred as present day consumers expect more impressive environments everywhere they go. There is more opportunity than ever for designers to impact the world we live in and it is an exciting time to be contributing these new creations.
