RIVER OAKS CAMPUS

Westwood College – River Oaks Campus is conveniently located adjacent to the River Oaks Mall in Calumet City, Illinois, the economic hub of Chicago's far south suburbs. The campus is easily accessible to both Illinois and Indiana residents via numerous major highways.

Encompassing 50,000 square feet, the campus has 31 labs and classrooms, plus a Student Resource Center. A family atmosphere promotes student empowerment and successful college careers.

It’s a short walk to the River Oaks Mall with its four major department stores, numerous other shopping establishments and a food court. In addition to shopping, the mall offers potential part-time employment for qualified students.

Driving Directions:
The campus is easily accessible from Interstate 90 (Dan Ryan/Bishop Ford Expressway) exit 159th street east and from Interstate 80/94 (Frank Bormann Expressway), exiting at Torrence North.

Public Transportation:
Bus service Route 364 (River Oaks - Orlando Square) delivers students within 200 steps of the campus.

The Westwood College - Rivers Oaks Campus in Chicago has a number of amenities to help students throughout their courses of study. Among them:*

The River Oaks Campus also hosts a number of activities and awards programs to enhance student life. For example, each term students who achieve high academic standards participate in an honors lunch or dinner and are recognized on a board posted in the hallway. In addition, graduation commencement exercises are conducted twice a year at Navy Pier, plus the campus sponsors frequent program-specific speakers, job fairs and numerous other student-centered activities.

Students from Westwood College - River Oaks campus wrapped up a month-long recognition of Black History Month with a visit from Congressman Jesse Jackson, Jr. On Feb. 21, Jackson met with approximately 75 students as well as faculty and staff to provide a historical perspective of how African Americans have impacted the history of the United States from the Revolutionary War to present.
