The award-winning Westwood College - Houston South Campus prides itself on providing students with the necessary technical and soft skills required for success in the workplace. Our campus has been recognized by ACCSC as a 2006 School of Distinction, and received the 2006 Superior Customer Service Award from the Greater Southwest Houston Chamber of Commerce. It is also considered within the nationwide college system as a leader in both high-quality education and student satisfaction.

Students have easy access to a number of cultural, recreational and business venues including The Galleria, Reliant Center, Minute Maid Park, the Museum District, the Houston Medical Center and the Houston Aquarium.  There are also numerous restaurants and shopping venues nearby.  Beaches, rivers and a variety of outdoor activities abound, as well, in the greater Houston area.

Our campus boasts a highly diverse student population, an educational staff regarded as industry experts within their chosen fields and an outstanding academic environment. Ongoing student activities such as job fairs, industry guest speakers, art exhibits, heritage days and themed celebrations are all part of the campus culture. Westwood College Names Kim Nugent President of its Houston South Campus

Westwood College recently named Kim Nugent as president of its Houston South Campus. With more than two decades of experience in higher education, Nugent brings a diverse set of skills and education management experience with her. Prior to joining Westwood College, she served 17 years with Education Management Corporation (EDMC), which owns the Art Institutes, Argosy University, Brown Mackie College and South University. For the past five years, she was responsible for faculty development across all the institutions at EDMC. She has also served as a regional vice president and was the campus president at the Art Institute in Houston.

Dallas campus student team wins spirit award at regional mock trial competition

The Westwood College Mock Trial Team won the Spirit Award at the 2010 American Mock Trial Association (AMTA) Regional Competition in Houston, Texas. It was the first time the Dallas campus has attended, competing against 4-year colleges such as UCLA, UT-Austin and Tulane.
