Interior Design Degree

Degree level: Bachelor's

interior_design_degreeInterior designers combine creativity with building aesthetics and codes to create concepts for the interior of residential and commercial buildings. Many interior design schools provide basic instruction, but not all give you the skills you need to apply principles to the real world. Imagine having the ability to create spaces where people feel comfortable - in the office, while shopping or at home. With a degree in interior design, that person could be you. As a Westwood interior design student, you will learn everything you need to know to start a successful career in the field of interior design. You'll receive training in industry-standard software and, by the time you graduate, will develop a final student portfolio that showcases your work and skills to employers.

Program features include:

  • an equal focus between residential and commercial interior design topics
  • courses that help prepare you for industry-standard Autodesk certificates*, such as AutoCAD®, AutoCAD® Architecture and 3D Viz®
  • a final digital and print portfolio, featuring digital walkthroughs, visualizations and blueprints to demonstrate your skills to potential employers

*Westwood prepares graduates for certification. Graduates wishing to attain certification must take and pass any applicable tests/exams.
