Benefit for CCNA-eligible IT students
Westwood College places a high value on its standing as a Cisco Networking Academy1, which gives our Information and Network Technologies students the opportunity to receive the Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) designation.2 Graduates with their CCNA have a significant advantage in today’s job market, because they combine their certification with a degree. We are committed to our students' career success and want them to have the best credentials for the best job opportunities.
That’s why we’re excited to announce that Westwood College will host and pay for a CCNA Exam Review Session and the CCNA exam fee for eligible Information and Network Technologies majors.
Eligibility requirements
These benefits are open to Westwood students in one of the following four IT programs on all campuses except our Westwood College - Online Campus:
- Information and Network Technologies
- Information and Network Technologies: Major in Cisco Network Systems
- Information and Network Technologies: Major in Network Management
- Information and Network Technologies: Major in Systems Security
Please note that the CCNA Exam Review Sessions and the related certification vouchers are not available for students enrolled in information technology programs at our Westwood College - Online Campus.
To qualify for the CCNA Exam Review Session (a $500 value), a student must have successfully passed all four CCNA classes in their program and be in good academic standing. The CCNA Exam Review Session consists of 20 hours of classes presented over four or five consecutive weeks.
To qualify for the paid CCNA exam fee (a $250 value), students must successfully complete the CCNA Exam Review Session. Upon completion of the review session, Westwood will provide a voucher for the CNA exam fee that can be used at any Pearson VUE CCNA testing site. This applies only to the first time the test is taken.
